One of the key issues for women's health is to maintain balanced estrogen levels. By improving their estrogen profile, women can markedly reduce their risk of one of the major causes of death, breast cancer. This can be done simply with the dietary measures detailed below - especially the use of Living Multi Optimal Women's Formula and Super Seed, as well as avoiding exposure to environmental xenoestrogens.

Most of us know that estrogen is the hormone responsible for stimulating development of female characteristics, and that changes girls into women. There is nothing evil or bad about estrogen - as long as the estrogen to which your body is exposed is derived from the healthy functioning of your organs and glands.

The key here is the body's balance of estrogen. Different aspects of your diet, lifestyle, even medications prescribed by your doctor, the cosmetics you use, and consumption of alcohol all influence estrogen balance in your body.

The body produces different types of estrogen: estradiol, estrone, and estriol. Estrone and estriol are much weaker estrogens than estradiol. The body converts estradiol, the most potent estrogen, either to "good" estrogen which is weakly anti-estrogenic and reduces the risk of breast cancer, or "bad" estrogen which is more long-lived and potent, stimulates breast cell proliferation, and is carcinogenic. High levels of this bad estrogen are a "risk marker" or an indication of increased risk of breast cancer.

Phytoestrogens and lignans are a group of naturally occurring chemicals derived from plants; they have a structure similar to estrogen, and form part of our diet. They also have potentially anticarcinogenic biological activity.

Thus, they appear to be an effective dietary means for reducing cancer risk by improving estrogen metabolism. Many studies associate higher levels of circulating phytoestrogens and lignans with overall improved women's health and improved estrogen profiles.

Endometriosis is a serious condition in which tiny islets of endometrium (inner lining cells of the uterus) become scattered in areas where they don't belong: the fallopian tubes, within uterine musculature and on the outer surface of the uterus and other pelvic organs, the colon, the bladder and the sides of the pelvic cavity. With each monthly cycle, these islets of endometrium respond to ovarian hormones exactly as endometrial cells do within the uterus - they increase in size, swell with blood and bleed into the surrounding tissue at menstruation. The bleeding (no matter how small) into the surrounding tissue causes inflammation and is very painful and often disabling.

Pregnancy often retards the progress of the disease and occasionally cures it. Since we know that estrogen initiates endometrial cell proliferation and the formation of blood vessel accumulation in the endometrium, the aim of treatment is to block this monthly estrogen stimulus to the aberrant endometrial islets. Natural progesterone cream, like Happy PMS, stops further proliferation of endometrial cells. This natural treatment requires patience. Over time (four to six months), the monthly pains gradually subside as monthly bleeding in these islets becomes less and healing of the inflammatory sites occurs. The monthly discomfort may not disappear entirely but becomes more tolerable. Endometriosis is cured by menopause.

Fibrocystic Breast Disease

Many women experience breast swelling or tender, painful breasts occurring each month before their menstrual periods. Doctors may prescribe testosterone as an antidote to supress excess estrogen. Unfortunately, a few, mostly masculinizing side effects like facial and body hair, male pattern baldness, vaginal dryness, lowered voice, smaller breasts and other symptoms result. Many women find the treatment is worse than fibroids in breasts. Natural progesterone cream, like Happy PMS and Vitalzym, may be natural remedies/treatment for alleviating fibroids in breasts.

Menopause is the cessation of menses, the end of menstrual cycles.
Menopausal symptoms symptoms range from mild to moderate depression, hot flashes and sweating, exhaustion, insomnia, and fatigue. The symptoms of menopause may be a combination of poor diet, unhealthy lifestyle, environmental pollutants, cultural attitudes, and the incorrect use of synthetic hormones. Besides correcting the above problems, there are many natural remedies for alleviating menopause symptoms. Natural progesterone cream like Happy PMS and herbals such as sage to relieve sweating and hot flashes, St. John's Wort for depression, and Clear Energy for fatigue.

Osteoporosis is a progressive disease with many factors contributing to its cause. It is a disease of excessive bone loss and decreased bone density; that is, over time there is less bone, and what is left is lighter and more porous. The danger in osteoporosis is an increased risk of bone fractures, which can be painful and debilitating enough to lead to premature death.

Garden of Life's Living Calcium, containing a combination of sea vegetables and green foods, is a fantastic source of the two best sources of calcium. Living Calcium contains all the co-factors necessary for proper absorption in whole food form.

Ovarian Cysts

Ovarian cysts are products of failed or disordered ovulation. Some cysts may become as large as a golf ball or lemon before discovery due to the excessive build-up of fibrin. Vitalzym, which contains fibrin-eating enzymes, may be a natural remedy for fibroid ovarian cysts Adding natural progesterone cream like Happy PMS can also help shrink ovarian cysts.

Otherwise known as myoma of the uterus, fibroids are the most common growth of the female genital tract. They are round, firm, benign (i.e. non-cancerous) lumps of the muscular wall of the uterus, composed on smooth muscle and connective tissue, and are rarely solitary. They often cause or are coincidental with heavier periods, irregular bleeding, and/or painful periods. After menopause they generally wither away.

Fibroids are also one of the most common reasons that women in their thirties and forties have a hysterectomy. Here again, natural remedies and treatment for fibroids may be a better alternative than surgery. Vitalzym and Happy PMS natural progesterone cream are two helpful natural treatments for fibroids.

Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS)

Most common symptoms of PMS include bloating, weight gain, headache, backaches, irritability, depression, breast swelling or tenderness, loss of libido, and fatigue. These are also the symptoms of estrogen dominance.

Some causes are poor diet and stress and xenoestrogens (estrogen imitators) may also play a role in this hormone imbalance. Again, natural progesterone cream like Happy PMS may be a natural remedy.
