Chronic Fatigue Immune Deficiency Syndrome (CFIDS, also known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, CFS, Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, ME and by many other names) is a complex and debilitating chronic illness that affects the brain and multiple body systems. This devastating illness affects more Americans than multiple sclerosis, AIDS or lung cancer. Although its name trivializes the illness as little more than mere tiredness, chronic fatigue immune deficiency syndrome brings with it a constellation of debilitating symptoms.
Chronic fatigue is characterized by incapacitating fatigue (experienced as profound exhaustion and extremely poor stamina) and problems with concentration and short-term memory. It is also accompanied by flu-like symptoms such as pain in the joint and muscles, unrefreshing sleep, tender lymph nodes, sore throat and headache.
Persons with chronic fatigue have symptoms that vary from person to person and fluctuate in severity. Specific symptoms may come and go, complicating treatment and the person's ability to cope with illness. Many symptoms are invisible to the doctor's eye, which makes it difficult for others to understand the vast array of debilitating symptoms with which such people contend.
HELPFUL NATURAL TREATMENTS FOR CHRONIC FATIGUE:
Primal Defense: Start with one caplet per day on an empty stomach, 30 minutes before or one hour after meals. Increase usage by adding one additional caplet per day (i.e. one caplet the first day, two the second day, three the third day and so on). Once your dosage is up to 12 caplets per day, stay on that amount for a minimum of 3 months and then begin to gradually decrease to a maintenance dosage of between three to six caplets per day.
